About Garden Dream

Garden Dream is a free, no-signup garden weather tool that turns raw forecast data into decisions a gardener can actually use. Instead of a generic temperature and a rain icon, it tells you whether tonight brings frost, when the next dry window for spraying opens, whether your soil is warm enough to sow, and which days the moon favours planting.

It works anywhere in the world — pick any location and the calendars adapt to its latitude and climate.

How the guidance is calculated

Every card is derived from the hourly forecast, not a generic label. Frost risk looks at the overnight low and dew point; the spray window finds the next dry, low-wind stretch; soil temperature and the ET₀ watering deficit tell you when the ground is warm enough to sow and how much moisture your beds have lost; the lunar calendar maps moon phases to sowing, planting and harvest days. Where a location has a history, we also estimate its last-spring and first-autumn frost dates to anchor the planting calendar.

How it works

Pick a location and Garden Dream pulls live, open weather data and translates it into garden-specific guidance in your browser. No account is required, and your chosen location is remembered only on your device. Weather data comes from open sources including Open-Meteo and NOAA Space Weather; geocoding uses OpenStreetMap.

Privacy by default

There is no account, no tracking wall and nothing to install. Your chosen location lives only in your browser's local storage, on your device, and analytics are cookieless and optional — off until you accept them. We process any personal data in line with the GDPR, and our infrastructure is hosted in the EU.

A note on accuracy

Forecasts, frost risk and spray windows are derived from third-party open data and modelling, so treat them as informed guidance rather than a guarantee — always use your own judgement for time-sensitive or high-value garden decisions.
